Welcome! My name is Kelly, i’m 27 years old and in case you hadn’t guessed I love books. I’m currently on maternity leave following the birth of my 2nd child, a little girl, in August. I have a little boy of 2years – so I’m fairly busy. When not being a mum or reading, I am a staff nurse working in London.
I have loved books for as long as I can remember and always have a book on the go. I love chick lit, contemporary, crime/thriller and have recently discovered fantasy. This however is only a snap shot, I love reading anything. I love to discover new genres and authors, so more often than not I am found reading book blogs to discover my next favourite.
I’m still fairly new to the world of book blogging, but I am excited at this new challenge. I have currently been guest reviewing for Laura over on shelovestoread and have thoroughly enjoyed myself (thank you for having me). However, for a while I have been thinking about my own blog , although I hadn’t for one moment thought about actually taking it any further. With some help (ok a lot of help) from my husband I finally have a blog – so thank you! I would not have done this if it wasn’t for you!
I hope you enjoy reading my reviews! I look forward to taking this reading journey with you.

Glen Avich Glen Avich is a character in its own right in my books. So many people write in their reviews that they’re happy to be back ‘home’ in Glen Avich, and though it is not a real place, it’s inspired by my own village, Caravino, in Italy. Caravino is a tiny...read more
When I tell people the title of my book, more than once the response has been ‘so it’s a children’s’ book then?’ the assumption being that because it has a robot in it must be a book for kids. Boys, more specifically. The fact that it is a book for grown ups and not...read more

Hi I’m Amy & I’ve been loving books for as long as I can remember (my mum informs me she read to me before I was born, so I was an early book worm!) There is nowhere I would rather be then curled up with a good book, I love discovering new authors and stories and read as much as I can. I love a whole range of books from romance to crime fiction and autobiographies. My all time favorite books are Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Time Traveler’s Wife and all of the Harry Potter’s. I’ve also recently discovered Diane Chamberlain and am currently working my way through all of her published books. I studied English Literature at University and went on to obtain a Masters Degree by research studying Gothic novels. I currently work in Customer Services and have recently moved in with my partner so in my spare time as well as reading I’m busy decorating and cleaning! When Kelly asked me to help up reviewing for Compelling Reads I jumped at the chance at (who’d say no to reading lots and lots of books for fun?.. Not me!)
